Kathy, you had wonderful light! Late afternoon, early evening?

Love the first one due to the beautifully dramatic sky, the silhouetted friends talking while their dogs are at play...and that little worn patch on the right - wonderful scene. In your second the juxtaposition between the resting, reading family and that modern glass "castle" is also really nicely seen.

Are these with your X1? I haven't tried to check the EXIF yet.

Thanks BB. They were taken between 5 and 6 with my husband's M9. It is a great camera but I'm not sure I'd want to carry it and lenses around all day; but, I love taking it out for a walk with just the one lens - in this case the Sumicron 50mm.

The 9-18mm lens was my favorite - especially the 9 end for me. I saw that photograph on Flickr - your long exposures are lovely, Peter. As soon as I saw it, I couldn't help but think of the painting "The Lady of Shalott" by John William Waterhouse: John William Waterhouse: The Lady of Shalott [on boat] - 1888 « Paintings

The train museum photos are beautifully done, as well - love the little boy, but that interior is also very cool!

Michael, your iridescent swamp is very eerie...and one wouldn't be surprised at all if something raised itself out of those depths!

Thanks BB, you always say nice things about my stuff. Me - I like the Australian artist Frederick McCUbbin
