B&W Black & White, monotone and sepia

Please do add more photos in their own thread, Nic, and thanks so much for the story behind this image. I'm an armchair traveller to parts far flung, at this point anyway. Very nice choice of that sepia like toning, too.

It's a fine line, Javier. I'm sure you've tried a few different versions. I'd have to compare different versions. It does seem to me to have less of a tonal range than might be the best, but again that's via my computer screen.

When I look at Antonio's - which I am just seeing for the first time right now, its black and white range seems more distinct and crisper...not talking about sharpening... Sometimes tweaking the white balance adds some zest to things...but I know you know all the ins and outs, Javier.

Antonio - what a wonderful find! That t-shirt of Jesus is a beauty and the shadows and light...the patterns - great stuff!

pdh, I hope it doesn't keep raining but you'll get some lush colors... Lovely droplets with that hint of misty, foggy green in the background.

Javier, I like it. Its not as contrasty as some of your images typically are, but its got some deep blacks, some pure whites, and everything in between. Its just got some more subtle grays then you usually have in the middle. I'd work with it a while - I suspect it will grow on you...
