Now that is something, Don! Our West By Gawd Virginia cat is a big game hunter...your cat is card carrying member of the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals)!
I was chuckling to myself a while ago how Andy reminds me of myself a few months ago.
My salvation was due to my lenspusher (dixeyk) running out of lenses to recommend. I havent bought a lens in 2 months but these posts are weakening my resolve!
Jason, thanks for this - I like the angle you chose and the color tones. Stay tuned Jason because we're going to have a photography challenge coming up soon!
really? can't wait to see what i can come up with next...honestly i have been pretty much winging it so far but none the less i appreciate all forms of critique =)
Jason, I like your picture because to me it has an apocalyptic feel to it - the glowering sky, the slightly greenish grey tones and the angle make it look as though something seriously dangerous or bad is either happening or about to happen. The white iron fencing in the corner pointing upwards, the roof tops leaning in, the highlights on the tree and that bright cloud/contrail on the left all make it a strong image.
One thing is that it would be great if you could post the photograph larger within the thread. The way it is it is quite small - too small to appreciate - but when I click on it is huge. You might want to consider uploading your photographs to the gallery and using it to post or maybe trying Flickr or another webhosting outfit? Just a suggestion, not a requirement by any means.
Thanks BB. The 24mm just arrived today and I'm anxious to try it out. I was recently inspired by the work of David Carol, who appears to use something along the lines of that focal length.
