Bought Flickr Pro but....

Hi everyone, after a few weeks of not editing and uploading photos due to assignments at university and immense laziness in general, I decided to get editing and uploading and have quite a lot to share.

However I've reached flickrs limit (for free accounts) of 200 photos before you can only see your most recent 200 images and the 300mb upload limit is rather restrictive.

So i bought flickr pro earlier today, but my account hasn't been upgraded! So I'm quite worried as I received the payment received confirmation email.

Has anyone had to wait for their account to get upgraded? Or maybe I should start writing an email to Flickr explaining what's happened?

In Flickr's help forum there is a user post about problems upgrading from standard (free) account to the flickr pro account. The flickr staff replied on the 6th April stating:

"We had trouble communicating with our payment processing backend up until early Friday afternoon (Pacific time) and everyone's transactions were queued up until we fixed our backend issue.

The issue was fixed and we should be caught up by the end of the weekend as we had LOTS of transactions to process and get caught back up on. We apologize for any delay in getting folks their Pro upgrades/renewals and all should be well soon! "

I'm guessing you have just been unlucky by getting caught up in this queue. It should resolve itself soon, but if not, get in touch with flickr.

Good point Don, I previously assumed it was all done automatically (digitally) rather through people, but as I've just found out its not the case. They just emailed me Flickr Pro confirmation and an apology for the delay.

So now I'm Flickr Pro enabled - YAY! :D but... now my brother's gaming online and if I upload I'll slow his connection... :( so I'm gonna wait an hour or so before uploading, or til I can't resist lol

BB - only flickr pro unfortunately ;-)

Armando - currently uploading 100+! lol Mostly from the K5 but quite a bit from the LX5. I also have some to upload from the d7000 (from my brief time with it), I'd also like to share a lot of photos from my old G1 which I've either not shared before or re-edited since I've bought colour correction kit. The G1 and D7000 photos may have to wait a while though - I've got more assignments and exams at university :-( But in a months time I'll hopefully be graduating and finishing my education life forever! :D
