Jeremy, my guess is that this is not an unusual sight in the streets there, but for me it is a glimpse into a world that I've not experienced. The closest I've come to seeing a mix of such disparate traffic is on the streets of New York City.

The effort that this person (I think this is a woman) has to put out to move that payload looks pretty tough - especially it being in the dark with that car behind her.

Great example of low light and night work, Jeremy!

i was taken aback by the woman with the huge load too. the woman was pushing huge load of cardboard to be sold at the recycling centre. it is also common to see senior citizens collect cardboard and tin cans in singapore as it can be sold for money. but most of the time is to past the time as sons/daughters are working.

Thank you, Jeremy. I enjoy learning the photographer's story behind his or her image. I'm glad that I came away with the same or similar feelings as you had when you pressed the shutter button.

Beautiful image Antonio. Love the contrast / complement between the wall and the man, like he's emerging out of and taking on his own definition.

Here's one of my brother-in-law at a music festival - I liked the way the light almost gives him two different expressions at once, I also found the cheap lager a hilarious prop!

This is one of the many reasons I love to look at photographs of people - yours, Antonio, and yours, Kal, are practically polar opposites...and each one seems to tap into the essence that you each witnessed the moment you snapped the shutter.

I also love the freedom your personal points of view in the choice of "post processing" and how you've used black and white.

Bravo!
