Social talk at Bill's pub

Hi Herman. We will be drinking a toast to Queen Beatrix on Monday evening at the Dutch Embassy here in Tbilisi courtesy of our Dutch friends Linda and Rien.

Queen Beatrix - I was in Dam Square at her Coronation in 1980 - a mate of mine had just bought a Hasselblad and was trying to make a few Guilders from the images he took

Goodmorning Kelvin, Olli and Lili, we are the "early birds" this morning.
How's weather at your place? It's 7 this morning, I got up at 6, we got sunshine and blue skies, wow, 3C outside brrr a bit cold.

Hi Herman. It's not quite so early here - just gone 9.15 as I type. I think we're two hours ahead of you here in Tbilisi.

I couldn't get up too early this morning because I spent last night drinking Koningshoeven Trappist courtesy of our Dutch Embassy friends as we celebrated Koninginnedag.

We heard your national anthem sung by a Georgian choir. We also had the words printed out in Dutch and English so we could sing along but I thought that might have been disrespectful:)

I think I should thank you too since all the food and drink was being provided by the Dutch Embassy, which means by the Dutch taxpayer, which means you, Herman. So now I genuinely have had one (well, five actually) on you. Cheers.

I've been thinking about Pete, too, Herman. I'll send him a note and ask him how he is and see if he can give us a quick update and hello. My assumption is that he's spending a great deal of time in physical therapy for that knee replacement.

Pete, if you're out there - we miss you!:flowers_2: And where are those stealth cell phone photos?;)

Hi everyone, how's well is Pete (AzPete I believe) doing ?

'spoke" to him last week - he said that his "op" went OK and that he is recovering but (naturally) needs a "cane" (walking stick) to help him get around until he starts training again for his local "pro football" team or to keep his grand children under control!!!!,
