Fuji The Everything Other Than Street X100 Image Thread.

Rich, those are two amazing black and white pictures - I used my handy dandy little EXIF viewer and see that both were taken a f/2 at 1/60th and one at 400 and the other at 200 ISO. The detail and "color" is just gorgeous. I really like that second one a lot - those dials are very cool....there's a "retro" feel to the machinery which, of course, I like.

What exactly is a grain drill, Rich? I do like my amber waves.;)

A grain drill is a machine for planting seed at a controlled depth and in specified amounts.....usually used for smaller seeds......so that they are in rows (as opposed to scattering or "broadcasting" the seed). Most wheat, barley, etc. is planted this way.

We wouldn't have nearly as much beer and sandwiches without them. ;)

Aha - thank you! I have some friends in Maine who are "back to the landers" and grow pretty much all their own vegetables...not wheat, however...and not sure about other grains. I think they could use a very small version of a tool such as this.

Is this a grain drill that has been around a long time - those dials are so beautiful. I don't usually think of our more modern machinery as having such tastefully designed dials.

And now for something completely different.....
