Berndt such a handsome image - I feel as though I'm looking back in time at one of the wonderful photographs seen on an record album cover... I know he doesn't really look like the young Van Morrison, but that's who I keep thinking of. Wonderful image from another time. I love the what you did with this portrait.

This looks like one heckuva serious card game, Warren. For a minute I thought we were in a government or corporate meeting. You took advantage of the lighting beautifully!

Thanks BB :)

This also happens to be the very first image that I tried processing with Nik Software's Silver Efex Pro (demo version). I am very pleased with the results, and I'll probably be buying a copy soon.

I used Tri-X emulation, because it's my favorite B&W film, and one that I know well.

Cobbler. Providence, Ri

Hi Don & BB,

Thought I'd stop by for a visit.

Cobbler Shop in Downtown Providence. His name is Rafik, been there forever. I liked the old time look of the shop, stopped in to visit and asked if I could take a few photos. He was very accommodating..

Cheers, Alan

Alan, glad to see you - you should stop by Bill's Pub and I'll buy you a beer!:drinks: How thoughtful it was that Rafik acquiesced to being photographed. His is an art that is not too easily found around these parts.

Hi BB,

Where's Bill's pub......? You won't have to ask twice.
