Thank you, Kathy. I'm so glad to see you're back - and posting! Lovely afternoon light in this one. I'm definitely going to make my way through your Flickr stream, too.:D I do miss the X1 - and I think it's easy to see why looking at this one from you.

Some great work going up in this thread in the past couple of days. BBW, Don, KathyH, and Alf, all really nice stuff. I was up in NYC for the weekend so had limited net access (not that they don't have it there! - but I didn't), or I'd have commented sooner. I stuck some new shots, mostly B&W, up in a separate thread. Not all B&W so I didn't put them here and I didn't want to monopolize the LX5/Leica D-Lux thread. Jeez, is that camera fun or WHAT?!?!?!?

Ray,
You don't get off that easy. We all know you have The LX5 so post some images. Love to see what ya got with it.
Truth be told, I haven't used my GF1 since I got the camera....
It's great....

Well, OK. I'll post some of them twice I guess. I posted some landscapes last week. Here are some B&W from New York city, with one color. The LX5 is all I took. I used the hyperfocal setup extensively and it worked incredibly. I'm amazed at how quickly you get the shot with this camera. Overwhelmingly more responsive than my s90 and probably marginally more responsive than my ep2 even with the 17, which is pretty quick. As I joked in the other thread, the LX5 allowed me to take hundreds of really bad photos that were both in focus and very well exposed! And a few I even liked...
