A strange spot along between two brackish water tidal ponds...this tree person is always in the "holiday" spirit - this time, there was a real macabre feeling...as these weren't your everyday friendly ghosts...but more along the lines of poppets...you know, the kind that were used by witches... A very eerie scene for a Sunday walk.

Beautiful colors, ntrolls - and very picturesque! I wish I were standing there because it looks so comfortable and the flowers are beautiful...and there's no snow or ice, either!

Christina, one of the most dramatically powerful "flower" photographs I've ever seen. Superb.

greyelm, please thank your son - it's great to see you and see how well your son did with his first X100 shot, too! You might want to consider adding this portrait to https://www.photographerslounge.org/f32/pub-now-asking-photo-id-2502/ ;)

Christina, I think you're crazy to consider not using this camera. You're consistently bringing forth wonderful images. Your post processing is intriguing and adds to the other worldly quality of this "sighting". This is a beautiful scene and a little bit disturbing as well, in that one is not quite sure where the story will go.

Posted this on another image thread but it wanted to be in here with its cohorts. While walking in a nature preserve not far from where we live..with my daughter pictured below...with her camera.

It's interesting to go out with another photographer because we all see such different things. Normally I prefer not to, but who wouldn't want to go out with their offspring and experience the world with them?

Roark, this is quite an entrance - "Mission Command"! My first thought was that it was some kind of "dropping the big one" command center, but thanks to your embedding via Flickr, I've learned otherwise. Welcome to Serious Compacts! I hope you'll find the time to stop by our Welcomes and Introductions forum soon. You've got some very compelling images over on your Flickr stream, and I look forward to making my way through them.:th_salute:
