That is a great capture. The glow of the iPad is great for soft lighting. Nice tones also.

Andy, you're right. iPad is great as a source of lighting, I often use it instead of a small softbox

Christmas is coming sooner every year - even over where you are Penny! I thought in the UK it was sacrosanct...as in non commercial, but that's probably my Dickensian vision clouding reality.
Both yours, Penny, and yours, Christina, are street shots that give two very different flavors to window shopping - the work a day view, and the evening gaze sort...I wonder if ever the twain shall meet. Well seen!

That is just fine!
This is Darren, he is homeless and unemployed. He is 37, stays with friends or on the street. He drinks Stella. He is estranged from his former partner and 13 year old son. He has mental problems and was once sectioned under the MHA at Runwell. He smokes roll ups and scavenges for tobacco from cast off cigarette butts. He asked me for a pound, I gave him a fiver...it was all I had other than pennies. I asked him to get himself some food and a drink rather than Stella. He shook my hand as we parted and thanked me for listening. I thanked him for telling me something of his life, for making me feel guilty about my comfortable existence
