What a fantastic thread, I've enjoyed all the colours and creativity, a really great collection. To me the sure sign that the year is coming to an end is are the berries, food for the birds and the seeds of another year;

Someone on dpreview that lives up in the NE said that the fall colors weren't very good up there this year and then of course yall had the early snow. Here in north alabama, our fall really depends mostly on having a rainy summer. If we have a dry summer, leaves turn quickly to brown and fall. That seems to be the case this year.
