This one requires a bit of explanation. "Причал" in Russian means "pier," and "пичаль" (incorrect spelling of "печаль") means "sadness."

Pavel - this is very poignant. Can you explain more to me - the sadness at the pier...is it due to pollution and/or over fishing? Lovely quiet tones and subtle light.

Well, it's about urban decay. This is a half-destroyed ticket boot that used to sell tickets to tourist boats. It has the word "pier" (причал) written on it. Somebody took off the letter "р" and added the letter "ь", so the word now reads as "sadness" (пичаль).

nice, retow, I'm trying to resist the lure of the V1!

If you are looking for a point&shoot on steroids, punching in much much higher performance classes with "good enough IQ" and ability to exchange lenses, this is it. I was trying so many high end compacts over the last few years but none stays out of the shooters way (in AF) as convincingly as the little Nikon does. It's not perfect, some more manual controls would be better and fast standard primes hopefully available soon, but the best AF compact street shooter, by country miles. It gives me almost as much fun to shoot with as the GXR m-mount, the best MF/ZF compact with stellar IQ on top.
