Coffee in Ethiopia is a serious business

The ceremony involves toasting the beans at the moment for you, lighting some incense while they are ground and slowly boiled and let to rest six or seven times, and presenting you a little, espresso-like cup, filled to the top with the result.
Delicious.

BBW - I prefer this B&W version. I find the sky on the the colour version a bit overwhelming.

John - especially like your first shot of Georgetown U. It's quite an achievement to render the modern extension photogenic. Every time I walked over the Key Bridge I always marvelled at hoe ugly it was.

Alf - another beauty. Lovely moody, natural shot. Looks like you had a productive time on your trip.

Another boat...!

Have had a lot of trouble posting on the forum an image that looks the same as it does here.Must need this monitor callibrated.Im going to try some thing that moves now,no more boats.:D

Neil, that is a very cool picture! Love the glowing phragmites! (Do me a favor and post on the Help and Feedback forum about the issues you're having in re publishing photos here that look the way you feel they should because I am sure there's a reason and believe we can help solve it for you.)

Penny, many thanks for your doorway. This looks as though it could take us back many centuries.

Beautiful, Christina, and I love the way the ladies are swooning over him. He's sweet. The sepia was a nice choice.

John, nice catch - the little girl is certainly much more interested in her charge.

I haven't used any NR. I shot in RAW and thought I set the ISO to AUTO but when I got back to the hotel that evening I realized that I'd set it at 6400 (didn't take my specs out for the day rather stupidly). I was soooo disappointed. But, when I put them into LR3 they were mostly quite useable. They don't look so pretty zoomed in but the grain is actually quite even and pretty and there doesn't appear to be much chroma noise. At normal viewing sizes they look quite respectable and even zoomed in there's still plenty of detail.
