I have a love/hate relationship with this print.

Any comments, because I couldn't decide to post it.....or trash it.

I can't imagine what in the world you could hate. It's a stunner.

I'm way behind on this thread and want to tip my hat to each person's photographs. Very impressive images from each of you and each unique and personal.

Thanks BB.......I really appreciate the comment. I think what it is for me is that I have a hard time distancing myself emotionally from a photo. Is it a good photo? Or was it the fact that I was by myself at sunset....in the moment.....watching a breeze play across still water, creating bands of contrast that rippled across the reef. Was it what was captured in my head.....or by the camera?

Sometimes it's hard for me to tell.

Rich, I think I do understand. It's very difficult to distance oneself from an image like this that meant so much as you saw it... Frankly, I'm not a big believer in distancing from something as important as a moment, place, feeling...and more, like this. I know that I can't possibly feel all that you felt when you were there, however I feel as though I can hear and feel those breezes play and hear the water lapping...and almost smell the salt water, too.

Thistle.

Oh that dreaded weed! You've just reminded me how I'll be spending each of the next 10 weekends or so. Mattock in hand roaming my acres chipping these things out. At least you chose a Black Thistle rather than the even more awful and invasive Nodding variety. Bad thing is that you rendered this one so nicely. I just hope I can shake this from my mind, while I dispense my pastures of them.....hate to feel guilty about it!....in the same way I can't eat meat having met and loved my cows

Again nice rendering here Martin.

Found my old digital Ixus in a drawer the other day, I charged the battery to see if it still worked, took a couple of snaps of my son with some of his AS exam images in front of him, played with it a bit and this is what I got.
