Fuji Fuji X-S1 with X10 sensor and superzoom

a little observation, there're small extensions on the side of the bottom of the screen, and judging by the top view photo, little slots on the top edge of the screen as well. Tiltable à la Sony Nex?!? That would greatly add to its usability!

If they could make a smaller version with a faster and wider lens, this would come very close to my ideal camera :) I'd happily sacrifice a lot of the tele reach for that, although I can understand why they made it like this... Indeed, for those who don't really care about pocketability, this might be the perfect travel camera!

I believe the HS20EXR has a tiltable screen, flysurfer can confirm, so I am 99% certain that the X-S1 does too. My FZ100 also does (or rather its a vari-angle like the Canon variety) and my old Nikon P100 (and presumably the P500) had a tiltable. Having had both, I can say I prefer the vari-angle, but the tiltable does keep the screen in line with the camera, rather than having it poking out the side. Lord knows why they decided to put the swivel there instead of at the base. These screens are becoming the norm rather than the exception, these days.

Yep, it would be nice to see a screen as versatile as in a Sony SLT 55 or 77, Fuji's solution in the HS20 is more limited.

Great photos! Thanks for putting them up. I have te HS20 and am selling it as I just bought another DSLR. I too like better quality even if it is just me who sees the photos. But this new model does look interesting!!!

I guess I'd have to see one in person or see the dimensions, but it looks to me that its similar size to a GH2 with an Oly 14-150 mounted. I'd personally rather travel with an EP3 with the 14-150 on it 90% of the time and a 20mm f1.7 in whatever bag or pack I'm travelling with for real low light situations. I use that range out to 300mm effective while I'm travelling, but I've never wanted longer. I have a 100-300 that stays at home on big trips - I only use it for really specific events where you just need a looooooong lens, but would never think of needing it for travel. But I guess that's why I'm not a superzoom buyer to begin with. If I was, and I thought about things like sensor size (which I don't think most do), this would probably be a better option than one of the pocketable superzooms with the tiny sensor that only goes to about 300mm effective. I kind of get to the point of figuring that if its gonna look and feel like a small DSLR, it may as well just BE one! I didn't keep the Sony A33 or the GH2 for that reason, so I can't see ever wanting one of these. But again, tastes obviously vary...
