I could easily wax poetic about everyone's photos... Let me just say that this is a great thread and I appreciate everyone's adding their photographs so much. It's wonderful to see such a wide array of scenes, images and personal views.
Someone needs to slap me - I am stuck in HDR mode! Oh well, I know I am in a phase, but having fun. A fishing bait and tackle shop in Grand Marais, Minnesota (weekend road trip) using the Olympus 12mm on my E-P3:
Not here, or we'd have a gang war!:grouphug: I know that there are some people who "hate" HDR, even the smallest smidgen of "it". I think you're employing it very well, Kyle. I have never tried it out...yet.

I was poking around in last year's snaps to find one I wanted ti re-process one for this week's weekly challenge (obviously I like to keep in the spirit of the "weekly" thing) , and while doing so found this ... which I had forgotten and rather like ...

There is HDR there but it is very restained and later desaturated. Because the rocks were dry, it had a very flat appearance and the sun was hidden. The HDR added a little detail, provided a suitable colour tonal range and allowed for the detail in the rock columns to be seen properly. It is actually a fairly good representation of the site even though it had become rather dull with the sun hidden behind a cloud.
