Micro 4/3 Played with the LX100 today!!

I'm wary of the LX100 too given that I didn't like the images of the LX7 - colors were off and although stills were sharp, the 1080 video was soft. The Panasonic FZ1000, on the other hand, delivers fantastically sharp stills and 4K video and the colors wonderfully accurate. So that gives me...

Micro 4/3 EPL1 vs. the Stylus 1-- A unscientific comparison

After looking at all four images on my retina iPad I agree with you that 3 & 4 were likely shot by the E-PL1 because they are sharper and the colors are warmer. E-PL1 delivers slightly warmer jpegs than the more modern Oly cameras.

Micro 4/3 EPL1 vs. the Stylus 1-- A unscientific comparison

    I'd guess 2 & 3 are E-PL1 because they're a little sharper and a little more vibrant.

Micro 4/3 Which among these cameras is the best choice?

I have an LX7 but rarely use it and will be selling it soon. Panasonic colors just don't cut it for me; i.e. the hues of blue and green the camera delivers don't look natural no matter how much I play with the Picture styles and in camera color adjustments.

    Anyone thinking about going-DSLR again?

Nope, no interest in DSLR. More interested in going the other way; i.e. using a shirt pocket sized point and shoot in place of M4/3 in shooting situations where the p&s is a close match for M4/3 in image quality.

Panasonic How Does One Open & Edit the LX7's RW2 (Raw) files on a Mac?

Yep, you're right, I found the Silkypix ap on the LX7 CD and it works fine on my Mac. Thanks. I like using my LX7 for video, ultra close macro and indoor low light stuff. But for outdoor landscapes I prefer the colors of my Olympus cameras.

Panasonic How Does One Open & Edit the LX7's RW2 (Raw) files on a Mac?

Neither the Preview nor the Olympus Viewer 2 programs that are on my Snow Leopard Mac will open my LX7's RW2 files. Does anyone know of a FREE program that will? Thanks for any suggestions.

LX7 down to $275 directly from Panasonic.

I picked up a $299 LX7 up too, but being a long time Oly user, I find it's menu agonizingly complicated. Just changing the exposure compensation requires memorizing several button pushing sequences. And each day I forget them. "Point & Shoot simplicity? Not exactly.

Micro 4/3 Which PEN has the sharpest, most detailed IQ?

Is it conceivable that the lowly E-PL1 delivers the sharpest and most detailed images of all the PENS? To my eyes the camparometer at Imaging Resource "Comparometer" ™ Digital Camera Image Comparison Page shows the E-PL1 delivers a slightly more detailed image than the E-PM1 or E-P3...
