Looking for a black X-A1 and came across the X100S for $1190 at Best Buy. States - ships in 1-2 business days. I hope someone here can grab one before they're gone.
Signature required for delivery and nobody was home when it arrived yesterday :frown: I rescheduled for pickup at the delivery center today. May look into purchasing the new book by Gary Friedman as well.
The RX100ii should be arriving today!! I recently sold all of my gear as I was a bit burnt out by carrying and changing lenses so often and I've decided to go with a two camera setup for now. I chose the Sony for its versatility with stills and video and would like the second camera to be of...
Starting over with just two serious compacts - the RX100ii will be one due to size, decent/above avg. video. Of the GR and the DP2/3 Merrills, which would be the better complimentary camera?
I do already have the 45 and 40-150. If going K30 I'd sell those for a prime, while going OMD I'd just need the 20 (though I've heard of some banding issues with the OMD). Weather resistance would be a bonus, but not a deal-breaker.
My shooting style really varies, but I can say I prefer b&w...
I'm set on getting the GR, but I have to ask... You can use one other camera only for the rest of the year and your only choices are:
Pentax K30 w/18-135 OR Olympus OMD w/Pan 20, Oly 45 and Oly 40-150.
Decisions, decisions...
I was actually thinking of the GR as my primary camera with the RX100 as a second body when more reach or the occasional video is called for. I'm coming from a m43 setup and have found that though the primes are really great, I'd be more comfortable with a fixed lens/zoom setup.
Would this combo satisfy most of your photo needs if you were starting from scratch? Another option in the same price range would be an XE1 w/18-55. I tend to gravitate towards b&w a bit more than color and primarily shoot street/candid, landscape, portraits and the occasional macro.

I've been visiting the site for some time now and finally got around to registering today. The interaction between members here seems great - glad I joined.

As I'm still a relative newcomer to photography I'd likely take the camera into San Francisco on a visit to the Museum of Modern Art. There's a Gary Winogrand exhibit there that just opened and runs through June 2. Haven't been to a museum in years...
As much as I'd like to have the new X20, I think I'm now leaning more toward the X10. I generally set a $500 limit on my purchases and was looking to go the extra $100 for the X20, but from what I've been seeing I think the X10 will suit my needs just fine for now. This helped a bit in my...
Thanks for all the help. There doesn't seem to be many brick and mortar stores within a reasonable distance for me, so I'm more likely to post on the forums suggested.
I'm looking to sell some of my mu-43 gear to help pay for my first Fuji camera. I have no experience selling things online and am looking for some help as to where I should start?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Still collecting my spare change in hopes of ordering the X20 soon, but just had to ask. I've seen that the X-M1 is most likely an entry or mid-level camera, but I suppose it's okay to dream big...
Congratulations! I think I finally decided to get myself the X20 after I collect a few more pennies in the jar. I'm leaning toward the black, but both look great...
Just joined the forum and started a thread without introducing myself... I made my way over here from the m43 forum and am hoping to soon have an X of my very own - just have to decide which one!
Hello to everyone and I look forward to learning a lot here, thanks.

I'm hoping to get an X camera soon and was wondering what most of the users here would choose based on the title of this thread? I'm currently leaning toward the X20 leaving the X100S out of the question for this year, but I could possibly pick up an X100 once the prices drop a bit more...
