Totally agree with everything you wrote. I've had so much camera gear in the past and never want to reach for anything other than the RX1 these days. X100 was great but the RX1 is better IMHO.

I've just recently bought this camera and absolutely love it! I've found AF to be fine for my uses and it just creates amazing photo's. I thought I'd use the EVF having used the D700 and X100 in the past but haven't really found it an important addition. Three from my first week with the RX1

Thanks for such comprehensive replies. Really appreciate all that. I'm a bit of a bokeh junkie so tend to stick to fast primes rather than zooms but it does make sense. If Sony devalue my camera by releasing a better one I'm going round :) Thanks again. Much appreciated.

Hi all, I've been following this forum for a while and found it a useful source of information. I've recently ordered an RX1 and am waiting for it to arrive. My other gear is: RX100 - may sell now as can't see me using it. D700 plus 28mm f1.8 and 50mm f1.8 I can't see me using the D700...
