    They sure are Kyle. Most of them we built by very rich families from Amsterdam to spend the summer.

    Reminds me a little of this road we wound up biking down, to the northeast (?) of Den Haag 5 years ago. We were right in the middle of the city, huge tall buildings everywhere, graffiti, laundromats, scooters... then we went through a park, and suddenly it was like The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe -- we came out of that park and it was a quiet country lane with enormous houses, embassies, a lady riding horseback right past us. We kept looking at each other, saying "where the hell ARE we? Wasn't the city center like 1,000 feet behind us?"

    Yes that can happen here. The Netherlands are just a small country.
    In the outskirts of The Hague are a lot of these lanes. Our King has his private residence there nearby.
