This was a one second snapshot that I took so fast John, the subject barely realized I was framing him when I squeezed the shutter. There was no hesitation in focusing as the shutter and focus lock beep went off together. Still, the focus was very sharp. I converted the brightly colored original to black and white using NIK software's Silver Effects Pro. Fuji X-E1 - 35mm F/1.4 - ISO3200, F/8.0, 1/420"

Just saw this (and a few more) on your tumblr site - I really like this of Bob - that's some lens he's carrying!

Actually I'm Bob and the man in the photo is John. I believe that's a 200-400mm Canon lens he packs.

Of course you are, Bob. I knew that when I wrote, but somehow it just didn't come out right.

    That's quite a bazooka of a lens!

Nice 'snap' and conversion. I like the image of your pal.
    The lens, by-the-way, looks to me like a Canon 70-200 f/2.8 L.

    I concur with it being a 70-200 2.8 :)
