We were in Frome yesterday as my wife was working there so I had time to go into town and grab a few photos, I decided to use the XP2 with just the 18mm.

I managed to grab a few shots of some of the buildings in town as well as some of the graffiti.

It was dull and dismal with very light drizzle but the combo delivered what I wanted.

Very nice lansky. The women in number one doesn't seem to be bothered by a little drizzle.

One of those graffiti shots would look good hanging on someone's wall output to canvas!

Thanks both, it was that very fine and inconsistent drizzle snd where she was sat was pretty much sheltered. I agree Paul, my favourite is no.4 it just has that air of mystery mixed in with a mechanical monster to travel upon.

You sure can make some great pictures on a rainy day! The color looked perfect with the graffiti shots. What is the building at the end for? Does someone live there??

Thanks Britanica, luckily it was only light intermittent drizzle but enough to be annoying! The big old building is used by a company of architects - certainly very imposing.

    Great set Ian.

Number 3 used to be Bennetts the Florists, I lived there (briefly) almost 30 years ago and spent several years living in Frome. The owner, Tony, wearing the flares, was a very kind man.

Here's a few from back in the days of negs/prints to compare.

Wow, thanks Dave for posting these contrasting images form years ago - it is great to see how some things have changed yet others stay the same.

Welcome. Yes, it is interesting to see the difference over the years.

Your photos always look so well presented in the frames, how do you do that?

I have to admit that I haven't a clue where Frome is and at first, I thought it was a typo and I was going to see photos from Rome. However, I'm glad it's not, because Frome looks like a wonderful place to visiy and you images are fantastic.

Thanks bs1946, it is a little town in SW England tucked away in the countryside.
