Anyone use a Joby tripod? Thoughts? I have a $50 gift card to a local camera store burning a hole in my pocket and thought about picking one up.

    Thanks for any advice.

    IMO it's practical to have...

I have one and used it on occasion...

What size do you have? I do have the 50-210mm x lens, would it support that?

    I have this one...

I don't know how much the 50-210mm weighs or which body you have

The site gives you the weight capacity...

    Hope this helps...

I use the Joby Gorilapod SLR + BH1 quit often. It is a nice peace of equipment that I do not want to miss in my back for streetphotography. Also use it quit often when giving workshops photography. Used it with the X T1 + 50-140 and it works as it should be. I would say buy when you can use a small tripod.

I got the SLRZoom version and it was overkill for the X-Pro1 with the 35mm. I only have the 50-230 in addition, which is pretty light. So this model works well for me on hikes.
