Overcast today (again) but being determined to get some photos I took the XT2 + 100-400 out and decided to take a trip to Lower Mill nature reserve, very little about but I did manage to get some shots of the smaller birds enjoying the seeds in the bird feeder and on the table.

The main aim was to get fresh air and enjoy some therapy with the camera, these are the results - all hand held.

Thanks Mike, not really my thing but as I wanted something to shoot with the long combo I thought I would visit the hide and see what was about.

Some cracking shots there especially when you consider you're not a twitcher!

Thanks Paul, nothing like a challenge and at least it was fresh air and a chance to use the long lens.

I just bought the 100-400 with teleconverter. It's a beast but preliminary shots in the street show it to be nice and contrasty at very low speeds. (I have trembling issues - but not in the knees!).

Very nice, detailed, and colorful! For not taking shots of birds on the regular, these are really good. :)

Thanks Britanica, I like to try different subject matters and the 100-400 is a stunning lens for this type of work.
