My refurb/display stock 'sexy one' arrived today with its 18-55mm lens. Had limited time to play but it was an easy transition from the X100. Lots of boring pics of our driveway etc but hope to get some 'real' photos tomorrow. My son-in-law was doing some external painting for us.

With the nose-diving Australian dollar I decided to order the 55-200 before the price goes up spurred on by Petach's great shots of the last few days. Got it for $800AUD (about $730 USD) so am happy with that.

Here's one that wasn't too bad:-

What's your personal take between switching from the X100 to the XE-1?

Congrats!!!!!!! I could have sworn I posted on here already Bill - or did you write this over on SC, too?

    A lovely rose close up.

This is the camera I keep thinking about.

Thanks all. Phoenix at this stage there are many similarities in the feel cf the X100. I'm much more a zoom shooter so that was a big plus and I'm expecting better IQ from the X-Trans sensor. I also like the Q menu and the range of interchangeable lenses. May add the 35mm (watching one on eBay) and the yet to be released 10-24mm is tempting and would give me a 15-300 range in 3 lenses.

Yes BB I was over on SC too.
