So, I am travelling at the moment. I took my X100T out this afternoon and it's not well... Firstly the EVF screen is stuck in the up position. No amount of switch wiggling will make it drop. If I turn to OVF I get the OVF info on a black EVF screen. That would be irritating on it's own, but it is accompanied by an inability to expose above 1/1000. There's definitely something dodgy going on. I haven't dropped it or anything.
Any ideas how to do a "hard reset"? That seems to be my only option at the moment...

Maybe take the battery out and let it sit for a while?...

Tried that, left it overnight. The viewfinder at least seems to be behaving today. The 1/1000 is a pain. It's not the usual leaf-shutter thing either - I know about that. It seems to be something else that I can't figure out.

Still, I have my X-Pro2 with me...

You wouldn't happen to have flash enabled, would you? The X100T's sync speed maxes out at 1/1000 @ f/2.

What is this "flash" of which you speak...? ;)

No, that's off, ND is on, macro's off, DR at 100, all normal. It's a poser. Viewfinder is behaving itself now, though so I'm thankful for that.

Did the factory reset do anything?
