    For me, the large tree in #1 adds interest.

    What Merlin said. I like them both, but for me, the large tree helps draw my attention into the scene.

    Dropping off daughter at school has to happen within a 10 minute window, which means the bike to work following it happens at pretty much the same time for me each morning. So I get to observe how much dimmer it is each progressive day, right now. Peak Sunrise viewing was last week... it wasn't even over the hills yet this morning.

    Sometimes visiting the same location over and over can be a good thing. These pictures were taken in the field in front of our house, we walk the dog round there almost every day so we get see how it changes and where the sun is at different times of day/year.

    I missed a picture of a perfect double rainbow framing the lone tree there the other week - now I pretty much always take the camera out with me.
