Just a bit of background, I have mentioned in a thread somewhere that I feel there are times that listening to a particular music or song influences the way you shoot or the way your photos end up looking after processing them.

Though I don't mind his music I wouldn't call myself a big Johnny Cash fan, and I was surprised when one of his songs (The Wanderer) "mysteriously" appeared in my music play list.

Some musicians compose songs after being inspired by an image or an event, I have taken these photos after being inspired by this song.

Nice set. The cat lady is interesting . . . if I tried that with any of my cats, they would spazz out and I'd be left with bloody claw marks.

Hahaha, I find cat's to be loveable albeit a bit tempermental, I also think that's a "cat dude".

Ooops! You're also right about the "lovable but temperamental" part.

    Sweet set of pics!

Can I ask what setup you were using?
Fuji has a magical way of rendering B & W's for certain.

Cheers  I was shooting with a combination of the 35 1.4 and the 16 1.4.
I shoot raw and process them with silver efex. I have the custom setting at no noise reduction, red b/w filter, -1 highlights, +2 shadow and +1 sharpness, it gives me an accurate preview what the photo will look like on a big screen.

I agree the shots are nice and the cat one caught my eye as well. I do have a cat that will do this with me but not very long and if had front claws I would be scared. haha My younger one has front claws so if he is not in the mood I don't even pick him up.

    Hahaha, Thank you
In a strange way, I kinda like how cats are passive aggressive.

    Pat me....with your eyes....
