Out with the X100 today and it was bitterly cold with winter still hanging around.

I thought I would do a few tree shots and below are some of the results

You have the BEST trees where you live! It's like somebody planted them 100 years ago thinking about photographers in the future. The skies are pretty terrific too.

    Thanks Adam,

I love old trees (and yes we have millions in the UK), I try and capture trees that look like they could lift their roots and move at any moment and still have that air of mystery about them that makes you wonder what events must have happened around them over the years!

The X100 captures nice 3D images at f4 that I really like.

I love old craggled trees, especially in B&W. I did notice a slight outline around some of the limbs though. Perhaps chromatic aberation that needed to be cleaned up before converting to B&W?

Ian, it doesn't matter what camera you are holding - I think I already know whether an image comes from you or not. Always gorgeous photos!

And, so, this is why Ents came so easily to Mr .Tolkien! Beautiful shots as usual, Ian. When we lived in Surrey, we love driving by the Great Windsor Park, in large part because of the many old beautiful trees. Which I had taken more photos of them.
