Can someone recommend a tripod for the X100S. I'm taking a trip to Baja and need something lightweight yet sturdy to take on daily hikes in the desert.

    Thanks,
    Dave

Sirui makes some very lightweight tripods. And......they are not very expensive!

    I use a velbon ut43d
It packs down to a size slightly larger than a gorilla pod and is stable up to 5ft.

Holds xe1 perfectly stable for long exposures.

The Gorilla flexible arm tripods might be something to look into as a flexible solution, as well as a basic bean bag.

includes short column for low macro shots.

    he7ymura.
short column can be stacked on top of standard column for added height. the columns are height-adjustable.

Sirui 025 and 025X fold small (11") and are very light carbon fiber. Mefoto also but are aluminum and are a little heavier (and more colorful).
