We have a nature reserve nearby that at this time of year is awash with wild orchids - these were captured on my annual pilgrimage with camera in hand to take in the sights with my X-E1 + Canon EF100mm f/2.8 macro lens.

There are also several sites dotted around the reserve for Slow worms to bask..

All of them are great, but the first image has to be my favorite.

Thanks for the generous comments, folk, all very much appreciated :)

Worm only in name, definately more snake like, but think of it more as a limbless lizard.

    Nigel :)
