    Hood River, OR
We just explored a new place for us, a short 7 miles over the river and slightly west, in Washington. Big meadow views back across to our side and Mt Hood looming behind Mosier, OR in the distance. Juvenile bald eagle wheeling overhead. Ground squirrels, tiny wild flowers popping, engorged rivers from all the snow melt, a natural arch, a collapsed old homstead... great stuff.

XT1 (as always), and then almost entirely the rokinon 12 and the XC 50-230. I brought the 27 pancake with polarizing filter, but just never got that good feeling in my britches, looking through it.

Unedited here, as are most of these. The 12 just does this when you underexpose a little. Man how I love it.

About 5 inches from a Grass Widow, with the 12.

Same place as above, but with the 12. Totally different, huh?

Naturally occurring stone arch, where the crumbly basalt has eroded out from under itself.

Hard to see, but a juvenile bald eagle flying between me and Hood.

As you said, great stuff. Beautiful scenery and a nice time out with the family. Win-win.

This must have been one of our only sunny days this year! I've got to get out there from Washougal....

Very beautiful shots. The first one actually looks like it is fake! It is just so crisp and colorful, love it! ;)
